Update 1:10 PM EST: The Live servers and Pendragon have all returned from the downtime this morning. Thank you very much for your patience!
Please read the following notes below carefully:
Guild Creation
Guilds are a core component of Dark Age of Camelot and we want to keep them that way. Unfortunately, as the game has matured, many players have begun using guilds to store their alternative or low level characters rather than as a community-enhancing feature. The following changes are designed to help alleviate the influx of the number of new guilds created. However, we also have plans to help make existing, active guilds a more attractive destination for players (over choosing to create a new guild) in the future.
Bug Fixes
Please read the following notes below carefully:
- The Midsummer's Event has now come to an end and the Traveling Merchants have packed up their wares and ventured out of the realms for a time.
-
Guild Creation has been re-enabled with the following new restrictions:
- Trial Accounts can no longer be used to help form a guild.
- Guilds now cost 10 platinum to form.
- A character that has formed a guild as the group leader (at the time of guild formation) will no longer be able to then form another guild as the group leader. This is not a retroactive change, so all existing characters that have been the group leader at the time of a guild formation can form one new guild before being affected by this change.
-
King Uther, Queen Cliodna, and Ymir's encounters in Lyonesse, Bog of Cullen, and Vanern Swamp have had their difficulties slightly reduced again.
-
The quest, Energetic Collections, now allows succubi to be killed anywhere they are found in the game.
-
(Pendragon Only) The Pendragon server's ruleset has been changed to PvP or Free-for-All. NPCs assisting with the 5v5 Tournament will be outside the Throne Room in each capital city in the coming days.
-
Labyrinth Obelisks no longer require characters to 'activate' them before their use. All characters can teleport to all obelisks in the Labyrinth.
-
900 additional quests have been added to the Quest Journalist NPC in the capital cities.
-
Level 50 characters can click the keyword [higher] to remove completed quests from your journal.
-
If you are having issues completing or accepting quests, and your pending quest journal has less than 20 quests in it, please visit these Quest Journalists!

Bug Fixes
- All armor and weapons dropped in the Koalinth Caverns and Vendo Caverns dungeons should drop at the proper quality value now.
- The Ten Hands Jewel is now trade-able.
- Relics can no longer be carried into the safety of the Border Keeps. Instead, the relic will drop to the ground if a relic-carrier gets too close.
- Relic carriers can no longer board galleons.
- The Earth Horse quest in Albion can once again be obtained.
